Easter Monday was a very exciting day – I collected my first ever length of industrially woven fabric!
It is a slight adaptation of a design from my graduate collection. I have Heriot-Watt University to thank for helping out with the yarn – it is even more difficult than I thought to find yarn in small quantities! The fabric was expertly woven by the wonderful Drove Weaving in Langholm in the Scottish Borders, and finished by Schofield’s Dyers and Finishers in Galashiels.
What for, you ask? In just over a week, I will be able to tell all, but for now it is still under wraps… For a hint, have a look here.
